IMO / Dangerous
goods
The International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code was developed as a uniform international code for the transport of dangerous goods by sea covering such matters as packing, container traffic and stowage, with particular reference to the segregation of incompatible substances.
Dangerous goods are loaded in IMO containers, according to international standards.
Dangerous goods are articles or materials that can cause danger to health, safety or property. To transport these goods (including the loading and unloading), there are safety regulations that are internationally accepted, being the IMDG or International Maritime Dangerous Goods code.
At SEATRANS MARITIME, S.A. we have staff trained to arrange the necessary dangerous goods administration.
In this way, we make it possible to transport this kind of goods via every transport modality (sea, land or air).
